Actor David zum Brunnen portrays Charles Dickens and 17 familiar characters; giving personal, social and historical context to the ghostly classic, A Christmas Carol. Cedric Charles Dickens, great grandson of the author, says zum Brunnen "absolutely becomes my great-grandfather on stage!"G

Then, Norm visits the Parson Capen House in Topsfield, Massachusetts - a house similar to the Bedford house from 1683 that's been largely unaltered over the years. D

Ask This Old House  "Installing a Battery Back-up Sump Pump; Fixing a Rusty Metal Railing"  Plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey travels to Philadelphia to install a battery back-up sump pump. Then Richard, along with host Kevin O'Connor, landscape contractor Roger Cook and general contractor Tom Silva, asks, "What Is It?" Afterward, Tom fixes a rusty metal railing on a set of front steps. For the Rough Cut Road Trip, Tommy heads to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, which houses some beautiful examples of sand shading made by John and Thomas Seymour. D

Are You Being Served  "Christmas 1981"  Staff members of Grace Brothers decide that the 90th birthday of old Mr. Grace calls for a special celebration. Their idea that a search of the Grace family tree to create a special coat of arms for the old gentleman produces astonishing results!G

Keeping Up Appearances Christmas Specials  "1995"  Hyacinth decides to organize and direct a local pageant titled "Our Town in the Civil War." She also casts herself in the starring role of Queen Henrietta Maria and coerces various members of her family to play assorted Cavaliers and Roundheads. The Church Hall is soon in pandemonium.G

Vicar of Dibley 2004 Christmas Special   Everyone in Dibley is determined to celebrate Geraldine's 10th anniversary as the first female vicar of England's most eccentric parish. However, the Christmas carol-writing competition produces the worst rhyming couplets ever written and Geraldine barely manages to head off a plan to have a stripper at the Christmas Eve cocktail party. Other disasters and complications culminate in a most unusual Midnight Mass.G
