Elmo and Abby say they are great rhymers, and they offer to help. Mother Goose explains that to write really good nursery rhymes, you need conflict - when someone wants something or needs something very badly. D

Sid The Science Kid  "Ignatz's Inertia"  Sid is sending his toy panda Ignatz on yet another adventure! He places him on top of a skateboard and rolls him across the patio. The skateboard comes to an abrupt stop when it bumps into a wooden bench, but Ignatz keeps moving forward and flies into the air! Sid is curious why Ignatz didn't stop moving too, so he and his friends investigate and discover that things in motion stay in motion until they are stopped-and that's inertia! Assassination: Idaho's Trial of the Century   A dream team of famous attorneys converge on an Idaho courtroom in 1907. Idaho's best lawyers - James Hawley and William Borah - matched wits with Chicago's Clarence Darrow and Denver's Edmund Richardson. Re-enactment actors and extras, researchers, crew and others bring more than 200 Idahoans into this project to chronicle the trial of "Big Bill" Haywood, accused of masterminding former Gov. Frank Steunenburg's assassination.G

Smart Travels - Europe with Rudy Maxa  "Greek Islands"  Rudy island-hops the Aegean by ferry. Santorini sits on the rim of a still active volcano. At Akrotiri, archeologists uncover a city frozen in time by an eruption.G

The Desert Speaks  "Ecuador's Fog Forest: Mists Over The Desert"  Host David Yetman travels to the agrarian community of Loma Alta, Ecuador. This city lives in symbiosis with a cloud forest nature preserve situated in the mountains above the city. Before the area was protected, local residents exploited and decimated the forest with little regard for its ecosystem. D

Ciao Italia  "Whole Wheat Pizza/Pizza Integrale"  Mary Ann's got healthy whole wheat flour on her mind -- and in her mixing bowl too. She's re-creating Mom's Filled Calzones, one of her mother's favorites, that's filled with fresh ricotta cheese and chunks of provolone. She keeps the theme going with a Whole Wheat Pizza with Olives and Cheese, and surprise, tops it with a fresh greens salad, picked that very morning from Guy's garden. D

Taste of History  "The Powels - Friends of the Washingtons"  Samuel Powel has the distinction of being the last mayor of Philadelphia under British Rule, and the first after the War of Independence. Powel hosted elegant parties at his residence for his friends, George and Martha Washington, along with Jefferson, Adams and Franklin. In this episode, we tour the Powel House, and Chef Staib prepares a Washington favorite: Forced Cabbage along with a Traditional Beef Stew with Egg Noodles. D

Sesame Street  "Cast Iron Cooks"  Just as Alan finishes packing Elmo's lunch, the lights go down, the music goes up, and Superchef pops up and announces that Alan has been chosen as the next challenger on Cast Iron Cooks. Alan is not even sure what that is, but Chris and Elmo are excited to be his assistants. The first challenge is to prepare a bowl of P Stew, which is made up entirely of ingredients that begin with the letter P. Elmo, Chris, and Alan race around throwing P foods like pickles, peaches, and porridge into a pot. D

Dinosaur Train  "Carla Cretoxyrhina/Train Trouble"  Carla Cretoxyrhina - On this underwater excursion, the Pteranodon family meets up with Carla Cretoxyrhina, a young shark who turns out to be much nicer than her reputation suggests. She introduces the family to her dad, bringing them face to face with the "Big Fish in the Sea." Train Trouble - The speedy dinosaur brothers Oren and Ollie join our kids on a train trip to Troodon Town, but unplanned engine trouble sends Oren and Ollie sprinting the Roundhouse to bring back another engine to save the day!. D

Super Why!  "The Great Robot Race"  Ready.steady.splat! Whyatt and his puppy want to win the porridge race, but the bowl of breakfast cereal keeps falling off the puppy's back. D

The Desert Speaks  "Shadows of the Ancients"  Observational astronomy has deep roots in the Puebloan world of the Desert Southwest. Archaeological evidence suggests that the ancestral Pueblo Indians (Anasazi) marked astronomical events, perhaps as guides or records of their agricultural and ceremonial calendar. Rock art and architecture throughout the Four Corners area were carefully placed so that beams of sunlight would interact with rock images on important seasonal days such as equinoxes and solstices, marking the days with remarkably high precision. D
