Everyday Edisons  "I Can Finally Grasp It!"  We've all heard that "a friend in need, is a friend indeed," but for inventor, Mark Stark, it was no question that his friend needed a helping hand. Born without his left hand, Mark's friend, Dave Vogt never knew what his friend was working on in his shop and garage for months and months until one day, he presented Dave with an artificial hand that would change his life. A heart-warming story of compassion and friendship, this episode brings to light a need, an idea, a prototype and, of course, a challenge to our Everyday Edisons team. D

Pioneers In Aviation: The Race to the Moon  "The Early Years"  This three-part documentary captures significant aviation events, from the Wright Brothers' first flight at Kitty Hawk to the culmination of the Apollo moon landing and profiles four aviation pioneers - William Boeing, Donald Douglas, Dutch Kindelberger and James McDonnell. They are young men as they design and construct planes for America's effort in World War I, begin flying the mail in the 1920s, and develop the first passenger airlines.G

Make Me  "Stay Awake"  Michael Mosely learns that a new wave of drugs promises to unshackle sleep from nature. He goes on a journey to experience what it is like to put aside the conventional eight hours of sleep and keep awake for as long as possible. He meets the world record breaker, who can go up to 12 days without sleep; dips into the world of sleep endurance competition, and in Canada meets a man who claims that a recent pharmaceutical invention allows him to function and work a 20-hour day.G

10:00 pm
NOVA  "Mind of a Rampage Killer"  NOVA correspondent Miles O'Brien investigates new theories about why some people become destructive rampage killers. O'Brien also explores what science can reveal about a brain at risk for violence and whether there is a way to recognize dangerous minds in time to stop violence.G

11:00 pm
Everyday Edisons  "A Hot and Steamy Clean"  Sponges, dishcloths and soapy rags dipped into a bucket or sink over and over may not be the most hygienic way to clean your kitchen. That's why prolific inventor, Eric Huber, decided to do something about it. His idea was a device that contains water from the tap that after putting in the microwave can hold the temperature to the point of steaming while you wipe off surfaces. D
