Burt Bacharach & Hal David: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize For Popular Song In Performance At The White House   Hal David, 90, and Burt Bacharach, 83, first begin collaborating in the 1950s in New York's storied Brill Building. In the 1960s and 1970s they are almost as well-known as the singers for whom they wrote. The Multiple Grammy- and Academy-Award-winning songwriters now join the ranks of Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney as recipients of the fourth Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The all-star tribute was taped May 9 at the White House.G

Great Performances at the Met  "The Enchanted Island"  This world premiere combines baroque music by several composers with a new English-language libretto featuring characters from Shakespeare's The Tempest and A Midsummer Night's Dream. The starry cast features Danielle de Niese, Joyce DiDonato, David Daniels, Pl?cido Domingo and Luca Pisaroni. British theater artist Jeremy Sams devised and wrote the work, which is conducted by baroque specialist William Christie. The one-hour documentary captures the veterans' 2004 journey, including their uncertainty as to whether anyone would remember or care about the events that occurred 60 years earlier. To their surprise, the people of Belgium and Luxembourg treated them like celebrities: a king presented medals, a royal family laid wreaths in honor of the fallen and crowds clamored for autographs and to perhaps, for the last time, thank their liberators. Campout! - Our Pteranodon family goes to the Big Pond for their first overnight camp out and meets a small frog with a big voice. D
