Then we head for the hills and the dramatic peaks and meadows of the Dolomite mountains. D

The Desert Speaks  "Cactus Capital of the World"  Villages in the Valle de Tehuac�n and nearby Oaxaca have endured forcenturies in a desert environment. One of the staples of this environment was and still is the cactus, which formed the basis for their material culture. Today eighteen species of columnar cacti grow in the valley (as opposed to three in Arizona, eight in Sonora), all of them used one way or another by native peoples. D

Sesame Street  "Frankly It's A Habitat"  Big Bird is eating a hot bowl of soup on a cold day outside Hooper's store. Freddy Flapman, from Flychert Real Estate finds Big Bird and tries to convince him to migrate somewhere warm. Freddy Flapman tells him that he might like living in a new habitat. D

Dinosaur Train  "Now with Feathers!/A Frill A Minute"  Now With Feathers! - Dad gives Tiny and Buddy a mystery feather and the kids become "detectives," riding the Dinosaur Train to meet Valerie Velociraptor, who shows our kids what life is like covered with beautiful feathers. A Frill a Minute - Our kids help Tank Triceratops overcome his awkwardness having a huge head by showing him how cool and amazing his features are, especially his frill. D

Super Why!  "The Boy Who Drew Cats"  Whyatt's big brother Jack is sick, and Whyatt wants to give him a picture to make him feel better. But even though he thinks and thinks, Whyatt still doesn't know what to draw! So the Super Readers soar into the Japanese folktale The Boy Who Drew Cats and encounter a little boy struggling to sketch a picture for the emperor. The Super Readers inspire the boy so much that his drawings take on a life of their own. D

Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!  "Help with Kelp/Treetop Tom"  Help With Kelp - It's Fish's birthday and Nick and Sally want to get him a special present, but who can they ask for ideas? Cat's friend Gary the Garibaldi fish might have an idea! Off to the Briny Blue Sea where they meet a variety of creatures in a kelp forest who use the kelp for both food and protection. Back at home they make a picture of the kelp forest for Fish. It's the best present he could ever hope for! Treetop Tom - Nick and Sally are playing when their ball gets caught up high in the branches of a tree. D

Wild Kratts  "Walk on the Wetside"  When Chris and Martin locate an amazing water-walking Basilisk lizard in Costa Rica, they try to replicate its actions in order to learn how this rare lizard is able to walk on water. They discover that by using its wide feet, churning its legs to create water pockets and keeping up a certain speed, the Basilisk is able to run on water in order to escape from predators. And when Donita Donata begins capturing basilisks, Martin and Chris us their new water walking powers to rescue these rare lizards. D

Dialogue for Kids  "Predators"  Joan Cartan-Hansen and her guest scientists will answer questions about predators. Cartan-Hansen will be joined by Gregg Losinski, Regional Conservation Educator, and Jon Rachael, State Wildlife Manager, both from the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.G

Rick Steves' Europe  "Germany's Romantic Rhine and Rothenburg"  Cruising the Rhine River, we dodge riverboat traffic and the legendary siren, Lorelei. After climbing castles and descending into dungeons, we relax with Rhine wine. We tour Burg Eltz-a lived-in castle where the noble lady still puts out fresh flowers. D

The Desert Speaks  "Treasures of the Galapagos"  The second of three episodes in the Galapagos Islands finds host David Yetman hunting large cacti on a desert island. Along the way, he discovers flamingos in the middle of a huge lava lake, ghost crabs (so named for their quick disappearing act) and a variety of plant species endemic to certain islands. Yetman also explores the nesting grounds of sea turtles and finds a unique post office on the island of Floreana where pirates and whalers have used the same wooden container for centuries to leave or take mail depending on its destination. D
