Dirks was in Boise to visit a retail outlet, previously a Ten Thousand Villages store but is now independent. Since the interview, Dirks has been named the CEO of Ten Thousand Villages.G

The program, which highlights the 2012 festival winners, presents an entertaining yet thought-provoking look at hula's role in the past, present and future of the Hawaiian people. D

Globe Trekker  "Around The World - East to West: Istanbul to Vienna"  Ian Wright starts in Istanbul to follow historic trails into the Balkans where once the Ottomans pushed into Europe. Crossing the Black Sea into Bulgaria he explores vampire myths before continuing to Serbia. From the Croatian coast he takes a road trip to Dubrovnik, Split and Rijeka, checks out a thermal lake in Hungary and then heads to Vienna.G

Outdoor Idaho  "Idaho's Salmon"  The once abundant salmon runs into the heart of Idaho disappeared. Since then efforts have concentrated on maintaining their genetic lines. OUTDOOR IDAHO explores the causes for the decline, what is being done to save the fish, and what the salmon mean to native cultures. Underwater cameras capture sockeye salmon returning to Redfish Lake.G
