The story moves from the secret labs of the alchemists and their search for gold to the creation of the world's first synthetic dye - mauve - and on to the invention of the transistor.G

Mister Rogers' Neighborhood  "A Young Pianist/Costa's Music Behind-The-Scenes"  The Neighborhood of Make-Believe story revolves around King Friday's command that all Neighbors celebrate a "Bass Violin Festival." When it's pointed out that he is the only one in the Neighborhood who plays the instrument, he says, "Well, it looks like I'll have a large audience.". D

Curious George  "Monkey Size Me/Metal Detective"  Monkey Size Me - It's hard being a little monkey in a big world. George tries to throw the Man with the Yellow Hat the perfect surprise party, but he orders a cake too big to fit in the freezer and he's too short to hang the decorations from the ceiling. George fantasizes about a life where everything is monkey-sized. D

Wild Kratts  "Cheetah Racer"  Chris and Martin announce that no creature or vehicle can travel as fast over the rough and tumble African savannah as the cheetah. Aviva takes the challenge and declares she will build a ground racer that can run even faster than a cheetah. Of course Zach wants to prove that he is a better inventor than Aviva and joins the race. D

Peep and the Big Wide World/Pocoyo  "The Perils of Peep and Chirp/Hoop Tricks/Pocoyo - New on the Planet"  Emboldened by the ice, Peep and Chirp try to walk across Big Bay. Chirp finds a beautiful bracelet and soon discovers all the amazing things it can do! Then, Pocoyo is scared when a stranger appears in Pocoyoland, but he soon comes to realize that he needn't be scared of this little alien - and they become friends. D

Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!  "Minnie Meerkat/Leaves"  Minnie Meerkat - Sally and Nick are planning to camp out in the backyard, but there are some scary noises out there! Not to worry, The Cat's friend Minnie Meerkat can teach them all about camping safe. Off to Peekaboo Plains where a group of meerkats show them how they make their camp safe every night. Now Sally and Nick know what to do to feel safe in the backyard. D

Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps  "Angelina and Alice's Big Night/Angelina and the Giant"  Angelina is excited about performing in a recital with her class at Camembert and wants Alice to attend as her special guest - but Alice has an ice skating event at the ice rink on the very same night, and she wants Angelina to come to her performance as her special guest! Angelina and Alice have been given the task of designing the giant prop for Jackie and the Beanstalk. Angelina gets a bit carried away trying to make the biggest and best prop ever.G

Bob the Builder  "Take Your Time!"  Whizzy Dizzy - The team is building a new workshop for Bob, and Dizzy decides to show him she is the fastest machine on the job! As Bob and Wendy clear out the old workshop, Bob finds some things that are precious to him! Whizzing around to prove her speedy usefulness, Dizzy spills paint on the ground - and concrete into the tin of Grandpa Billy's tools! Then she quickly speeds off to recycle Bob's old frame! But when she returns, she discovers that not only has she set Grandpa Billy's tools into concrete; she's also thrown away Bob's precious frame! Dizzy has an idea to make up for the mistakes she's made. Wendy helps to mount the concreted tools in the rescued frame, and hang it over the door of the new workshop. When Bob sees his new sign, he's over the moon! Travis' New Garage - The team has a big job today, building Travis a surprise garage. D

Franny's Feet  "Monkey Stuff/Small Is Beautiful"  A) Franny lands in the jungle, where she meets Morrison, an energetic monkey who's afraid to climb trees. Franny tries to help Morrison overcome his fear, but it isn't until his pal, a little wild pig, gets into danger, that Morrison finds his inner courage. In Franny's Treasures, viewers learn about particular physical features that help animals climb trees. D

Thomas & Friends  "Fun on the Farm"  Thomas Toots the Crows - Farmer McColl is having trouble keeping crows from eating his seed. Thomas offers to use his whistle to scare them away. Soon, Thomas finds himself puffing all over the island chasing crows. D

Dialogue  "Reporters' Roundup 4/26/2012"  State revenue is up. Superintendent Tom Luna is on the road selling his ideas of computers in the classroom. Universities received tuition increases and the May primary is just a couple weeks away. This week on Dialogue, host Joan Cartan-Hansen leads a lively discussion about the state's top news stories on this month's Reporter Round up. Cartan-Hansen's guests this week are Jesse Bonner, a reporter with the Associated Press, Dan Popkey, political reporter for the Idaho Statesman and Brandon Macz, a reporter at the Moscow-Pullman Daily News. Michael Graves: The Warehouse   The architect and designer opens the door to his private home in Princeton, New Jersey, which serves a a showpiece for Graves' interests and influences.
