Inside Nature's Giants  "Monster Python"  In Florida's Everglades "python hunters" are attempting to control the python population (approximately 100,000) through a cull. In this show, experts dissect two pythons: a 9-foot male and a 14-foot female. The program explores the science of slithering, as well as the development of "infra-red goggles" that let the snakes hunt warm-blooded prey in the dark and a flexible jaw that allows them to stretch their mouths around huge prey, including alligators.G

Wild Caribbean  "Reefs & Wrecks"  The marine life that thrives within the Caribbean's coral reefs includes squid, octopus and blue tangs. At Silver Bank, a coral outcrop north of the Dominican Republic, up to 3,000 humpback whales pass through annually. On Barrington Beach, homeowner Geoff Allen shows master carpenter Norm Abram and host Kevin O'Connor why they bought their 1925 modified cape - not for its 1950s and 1970s-era additions, but for the outstanding location. Inside, his wife, Michelle Forcier, shows Kevin that the kitchen has not been remodeled in decades, and how they hope to remove everything that is outdated and open up the new space to the beautiful water views. Nancy and guest Mary Mulari express creativity using 2-1/2" strips to embellish a top with faced and folded stripes, and a fitted vest with staggered stripes that are pinked and fused to form cross bars. Then they serge and twist strips for a shaded striped vest, and make 3D bias vines and chenille blossoms the focal point on another top. D

This beautiful episode proves to be one of the most diverse landscapes in America, featuring over 330 species of animals, and some of the most shocking manifestations of plate tectonics on the West Coast. As he journeys this National Seashore, he meets up with Kate McClain, kayaking tour guide; John Del'osso, National Park Ranger, and peniped biologist, Dr. Sarrah Allen. D

This workshop debates the impact of this new form of employment on workers - for better or for worse. Participants investigate the workers' experiences first-hand, through diaries, letters, published accounts, and official mill postings.G

Dinosaur Train  "An Armored Tail Tale/Pterasaur Flying Club"  An Armored Tail Tale - The Pteranodons tag along as Hank Ankylosaurus visits the Big Pond to scout a Dinoball talent named Eugene Euoplocephalus. Eugene is a smaller version of Hank, an armored dinosaur with a giant tail-club. Hank and Eugene really hit it off, and after they all play Dinoball, Hank recruits Eugene to play on his team! Pterosaur Flying Club - Tiny and Shiny practice their swoop-de-loops and other flying moves in anticipation of their play-date with fellow Pterosaurs Petey Peteinosaurus and Quincy Quetzalcoatlus. D
