The town is also the springboard for dozens of Alpine adventures, from summer bobsledding, to hikes around Hitler's old Eagles Nest hideout, to a boat ride on serene Lake Hallstatt.G

Smart Travels - Europe with Rudy Maxa  "Switzerland and the Alps"  The Swiss Alps reverberate with cowbells, accordions, and laughter. We make our home base in the year-round playground of Interlaken, the "town between two lakes". We sail across glacial Lake Brienz, famous for its beautiful woodcarving. D

The Desert Speaks  "Saving Australia's Wild West"  When the Australian Wildlife Conservancy bought over 800,000 acres of a former cattle ranch for biodiversity conservation it created an ecological jewel that now attracts scientists from all over the world. The Desert Speaks heads down under to investigate the area that hopes to prove that aggressive management based on nature can restore the land. Host David Yetman hops on a plane to navigate his way into the former ranch known as Mornington Station. D

Kevin Dundon's Modern Irish Food  "Back In Time"  Kevin goes back in time with this week's menu as he cooks up a smoked chicken terrine. Fresh leeks from the garden are used with some delicious Gubbeen cheese for an indulgent Potato Gratin. Kevin prepares freshly caught trout wrapped in cured bacon with an almond butter sauce. D

Taste of History  "Birds of America - John James Audubon"  Join Chef Walter as he tours artist/illustrator John James Audubon's farm and bird sanctuary near Valley Forge. Originally from France, Audubon toured his vast new country, capturing and drawing in vivid detail the amazing array of bird life he encountered along the Mississippi. Chef Walter prepares a very unusual poultry recipe, Stuffed Cock's Comb. D

Simply Ming  "Mom and Dad - Show Two"  In this special edition of Simply Ming, Ming is joined by his Mom and Dad to cook some of their favorite dishes. D

The Jazzy Vegetarian  "Winter Celebration"  Host Laura Theodore prepares a menu to serve for a jolly seasonal soiree. This vibrant meal features sensational "Fancy Stuffed Shells" cooked with "Dad's Marinara Sauce." On the side, "Quick Spinach Salad" adds appeal to this gala menu. D

Barbecue University with Steven Raichlen  "Chicago and the Midwest"  Raichlen gathers a collection of the region?s best grilling recipes from Detroit, Sheboygan in Wisconsin, Chicago, and Minneapolis-St. Paul. They feature grilled red pepper dip, bratwurst, Mexican-style grilled corn and veal burgers with dill.G

Austin City Limits  "Bonnie Raitt/Mavis Staples"  The two women showcase classic R&B, blues and pop. Raitt presents songs from her latest album Slipstream, while Staples performs songs from You Are Not Alone and Staple Singers classics.G

Sesame Street  "3 Cheers for Us"  Zoe, Elmo, Telly, and Slimey are the Sesame Street Cheerleaders - they just need to find someone to cheer for. Educational Objective: Emotional Development. D

Dinosaur Train  "The Theropod Club/Surprise Party"  The Theropod Club - Buddy's Theropod Club meets with other dinosaurs that walk on two legs, eat meat, and have three toed feet. But Tiny feels left out until the Club invites her to join too! Surprise Party - Shiny, Tiny and Don throw a surprise party for Buddy on the Dinosaur Train and invite a whole caboose full of his friends!. D

When Peg and Cat find themselves in the center ring, they climb, swing, swoop and juggle their way over amazing heights and lengths. Nick and Sally are enjoying a backyard picnic when they discover their last strawberry has gone missing! Who could have taken it? Cat's friend Cluey Looey can help them!G
