This Old House  "Barrington Project, Part 10 of 10"  As the project winds down in Barrington, Rhode Island, master carpenter Norm Abram and host Kevin O'Connor congratulate builder Andy Tiplady on a job well done, while plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey shows homeowner Geoff Allen an advanced programmable thermostat with a 7" LCD screen. Window treatment specialist Ian Gibbs installs solar shades on the first floor, which will give some privacy and UV protection, while still allowing in light and views. Upstairs, closet designer Erin Hardy shows Kevin how she divided up the shared master closet to accommodate both "his and hers" spaces. D

One scientist uses chicken feathers to create a cheap way to make hydrogen cars safer. Outdoor Idaho  "Salmon River Lodges and Legacies"  This special travels the Salmon River, stopping each night at a historic lodge to meet the people, who continue in the footsteps of hearty pioneers in the wild heart of Idaho. Each stop reveals a rich history. Rafters, guides, boat operators and residents all reveal how they are drawn to the river repeatedly - or permanently.G

Call The Midwife   Newly minted midwife Jenny Lee arrives in the East End of London to begin her career in the spring of 1957. After overcoming the initial shock that her new home, Nonnatus House, is a convent and not a private hospital, she soon is immersed in her new life. Living with nuns and working in a community of colorful characters are entirely new experiences for Jenny, who comes from an affluent country home.G

Masterpiece Classic  "Upstairs Downstairs"  It is 1936 and a new family moves into 165 Eaton Place, six years after the Bellamy family moved out following the economic crash. Sir Hallam (Ed Stoppard) and Lady Agnes (Keeley Hawes) Holland hire Rose (Jean Marsh), now proprietor of a domestic employment agency, to assemble a staff. The new servants are soon put to a test during a party that threatens to destroy Sir Hallam's career. Part 1 of 3G
