Dialogue  "Author Louisa Thomas: Conversations from the Sun Valley Writers' Conference"  Host Marcia Franklin interviews journalist Louisa Thomas about her book "Louisa: The Extraordinary Life of Mrs. Adams." It looks at the life and times of First Lady Louisa Catherine Adams, the wife of President John Quincy Adams and our first foreign-born First Lady. Thomas uses Adams' own letters and memoirs -- including some letters she discovered for the first time -- to draw an intimate portrait of a woman whom historians had previously overlooked. She found that although Adams was both extremely self-deprecating and ill much of her life, she also had great fortitude, traveling by herself in Europe during dangerous times. She also helped her husband greatly with his campaigns. The book looks at the complex relationship between Louisa and John Quincy -- and the friendship she developed with Abigail and John Adams, his parents. Thomas illuminates not only the life of this fascinating woman but also political life of America in the 1800s.G

Oregon Field Guide  "Disappearing Lake, Bat Mystery, Jeff Douglas Remembered And Klamath Lake Canoe Trail"  Bats across the Northeast started dying by the millions back in 2006. The culprit was a mysterious disease called white-nose syndrome and now its in the Northwest. South Prairie is a mysterious 85-acre lake in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest of SW Washington. It appears each spring, and disappears each summer. What's the secret? We remember Jeff Douglas and show one of his favorite stories.G

Host Jacob Edgar meets Inaiah Lujan, the founder of the band The Haunted Windchimes. Lujan and other local artists and musicians go on a journey across Pueblo, a town blessed with perpetual sunshine, a proud and culturally diverse community, and ample amounts of Pueblo chili peppers. Traveling from the Atlantic to the Pacific, through four time zones and 12 states, we experience some of the most epic landscapes and stunning scenery that North America has to offer. D
