On this episode of SIMPLY MING, Ming and Chef Janice Wong, travel to the outskirts of the city to find inspiration at Oh Farms. With a bag-full of delicious edible flowers and greens, they head back to 2am Dessert Bar where they each whip up a delicious dessert that is not only a feast for the stomach but also the eyes. D

Then Rick checks into the Hotel California before meeting up with his local buddy, Sergio Jaurequi, for a history lesson about the town's disappearing and reappearing water supply. D

Joanne Weir's Cooking Confidence  "Asia Express"  Joanne embraces teaching traditional recipes and then showing new ways to use them. She and her student Reggie make mayonnaise and create an Asian inspired meal of tuna burgers with wasabi mayonnaise and Thai cabbage and grapefruit slaw, leaving Reggie wondering if he will ever buy mayonnaise again. Recipes: Grilled Yellowtail Tuna Burgers with Wasabi Mayonnaise and Thai Cabbage and Grapefruit Slaw. D

America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated  "Soup and Bread from Scratch"  Test cook Julia Collin Davison shows host Christopher Kimball how to make the ultimate Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread, and science expert Guy Crosby reveals the problem with whole wheat flour. Next, gadget guru Lisa McManus reviews Pullman bread pans to see if they live up to the hype. Then, tasting expert Jack Bishop challenges Chris to a tasting of whole wheat flour. D

Paint This with Jerry Yarnell  "Kim, Part 3"  In this final session, Jerry provides further instructions on the refining process to complete this painting. Shadows are applied to the face, and then highlights are dry brushed to add features to the face. At this point, white is added to the eyes. D

This Old House  "Barrington Project, Part 10 of 10"  As the project winds down in Barrington, Rhode Island, master carpenter Norm Abram and host Kevin O'Connor congratulate builder Andy Tiplady on a job well done, while plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey shows homeowner Geoff Allen an advanced programmable thermostat with a 7" LCD screen. Window treatment specialist Ian Gibbs installs solar shades on the first floor, which will give some privacy and UV protection, while still allowing in light and views. Upstairs, closet designer Erin Hardy shows Kevin how she divided up the shared master closet to accommodate both "his and hers" spaces. D

Ask This Old House  "Transplanting Trees; Hooking up Plumbing to a Washing Machine"  Landscape contractor Roger Cook and arborist Matt Foti kick off the 10th season of ASK THIS OLD HOUSE by helping a homeowner transplant two trees. Then Roger, along with host Kevin O'Connor, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey, and general contractor Tom Silva ask "what is it?" Afterward, Richard helps a homeowner hook up the plumbing to her washing machine. D

Rough Cut - Woodworking with Tommy Mac  "Blanket Chest"  The blanket chest has been around since the Pilgrims came to Massachusetts in the 1600s. In this episode, Tommy builds one that demonstrates basic frame construction, and mortise and tenon joinery. And, he shares his techniques for carving, a special feature of the box that is dramatic, yet simple.G
