The facts and figures are astonishing. The March 11 earthquake was the world's fourth-largest since record keeping began in 1900 and the worst ever to shake Japan.G

Smart Travels - Europe with Rudy Maxa  "Bath and South Wales"  We conjure a bit of magic when we visit the Georgian city of Bath and follow tales of Camelot into South Wales. In Bath, we marvel at ancient Roman spas and peek into the high society of Jane Austen's day. We stop by Wells to admire that city's spectacular cathedral, and we quest for the Holy Grail in the mystical town of Glastonbury. D

The Desert Speaks  "The Driest Desert in the World"  The Pan-American Highway stretches thousands of miles from Alaska to the southern tip of Chile and includes a jaunt through the extremely arid coastal desert of Peru. From Peru's capital city of Lima, hit the road on an adventure through this "driest desert in the world." The first stop is the Ballestas Islands 15 miles off the coast and home to a rich array of marine life. D

Ciao Italia  "Handmade Fresh Cheese/Formaggio Fresco Fatto A Mano"  Boston Mozzarella Co. owner Giuseppe Argentieri invites Mary Ann to his factory, to visit with master cheese-maker Maria Cubellis, who shapes and forms mozzarella balls faster than the eye can see. She gives Mary Ann enough to go nella cucina - in the kitchen -- to prepare Burrata with Roasted, Marinated asparagus, Scamorza Cheese Casserole, Telephone Wires, and tops off this cheese festival with a lighter-than-air, Whipped Ricotta Parfait with Cherries. Taste of History  "Yellow Fever"  In the summer of 1793, a terrible plague swept through Philadelphia. Yellow Fever wiped out ten percent of the population. People of means escaped, leaving their African-American slaves behind to tend to the sick. D

America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated  "Great Grilled Roast Beef"  Host Christopher Kimball reveals how to buy the best sirloin cuts at the right price. Then, test cook Julia Collin Davison uncovers the secrets to Inexpensive Charcoal-Grill-Roasted Beef at home and serves it with Roasted Smashed Potatoes. Next, equipment expert Adam Ried reveals his top pick for smokers, and science expert Guy Crosby discusses the science behind salting meat. D

Around The House with Matt and Shari  "Adding Embellishments"  Embellishing items around your home is an inexpensive and fun way to make "one of a kind" decorative accents. Matt and Shari start out having fun making a ribbon tassel. Then, Matt works in the garage at a gift wrapping station. D

Austin City Limits  "Cheap Trick"  The band, making its first appearance on the show, comes out roaring with "Way of the World." But things turn serious when band members pay tribute to the late Alex Chilto, whose Big Star song "In the Street" was the basis for the group's theme song for TV's "That '70s Show." Pick-tossing guitarist Rick Nielsen's son Dax sits in on drums for the March 2010 taping.G

Sesame Street  "Elmo and the Monarch Butterfly"  Elmo and Telly are reading the book Fascinating Facts About Insects. First they see two ants, and after looking at them through their magnifying glass, they learn that ants never sleep. Next they see two ladybugs and learn that ladybugs smell with their feet. D

Dinosaur Train  "The Theropod Club/Surprise Party"  The Theropod Club - Buddy's Theropod Club meets with other dinosaurs that walk on two legs, eat meat, and have three toed feet. But Tiny feels left out until the Club invites her to join too! Surprise Party - Shiny, Tiny and Don throw a surprise party for Buddy on the Dinosaur Train and invite a whole caboose full of his friends!. D

Super Why!  "George and the Dragon"  FE FI FO FUM! The Giant has stepped on Pig's toy, and he's scared to ask for it back! The super readers venture into a classic tale to meet intrepid Knight George, who is about to face his own fears and battle a dragon to rescue a princess! But it turns out that George isn't quite so brave, and needs a little help.from an unexpected source! Educational Objectives: To learn to appreciate where you're from. Kids will experiment with the alphabet, celebrate spelling and use the power to read to change the story. D

Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!  "When I Grow Up/Doing It Differently"  When I Grow Up - Sally and Nick are trying to guess what they'll be when they grow up when the Cat drops in for a visit. Cat is sure Nick and Sally will never guess what his friend Puggle will be when she grows up. When they see her, they start guessing right away! A frog? A duck? No, a beaver! They discover that, while Puggle may have some similarities to other creatures, she will grow up to be a duck billed platypus! Doing It Differently - Nick and Sally can't seem to find Harvey the guinea pig. D

Wild Kratts  "Cheetah Racer"  Chris and Martin announce that no creature or vehicle can travel as fast over the rough and tumble African savannah as the cheetah. Aviva takes the challenge and declares she will build a ground racer that can run even faster than a cheetah. Of course Zach wants to prove that he is a better inventor than Aviva and joins the race. D

Ucook! with Chef Bob   For the first dish, Chef Bob takes people out of their comfort zone and prepares pan-seared beef tongue salad in a white wine mustard green peppercorn cream sauce. This exotic dish is paired well with a Spanish Tempranillo wine from the Rioja region. This wine has hints of fresh ripe berry and licorice smoky nuances that work well with beef tongue With the second dish, Chef Bob teaches Mitchell how to prepare sauteed Colorado dry aged lamb chops over wild mushrooms, roasted garlic and orzo pasta, in lemon thyme brown butter. D

Rick Steves' Europe  "Munich and the Foothills of the Alps"  In Munich, where locals specialize in good living, we visit boisterous markets and go for Baroque palaces.while office workers surf in the Isar River. Heading into the foothills of the Alps, we take a spin around a Maypole; drop by Oberammergau-the Shirley Temple of Bavarian villages; and tour the fairy-tale castles of "Mad" King Ludwig. D

The Desert Speaks  "Boom and Bust in a Desert Town"  The small town of Quartzsite, Arizona, located just 20 miles east of the Colorado River, has been a rock hound's paradise since the 1960s. These days, this former stagecoach town is also a mecca to well over a million visitors each year, most of whom converge on it in a wave of RV's during the months of January and February. Thousands of vendors of rocks, gems, minerals, fossils and everything else imaginable create one of the world's largest open-air flea markets. D

But it's Harold (Patrick McKenna), Red's nerdy nephew, who comes up with an idea that just might save their wood-smoked bacon: a duct tape sculpture contest in Minneapolis with a $10,000 third-place prize.
