This Old House  "Barrington Project, Part 10 of 10"  As the project winds down in Barrington, Rhode Island, master carpenter Norm Abram and host Kevin O'Connor congratulate builder Andy Tiplady on a job well done, while plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey shows homeowner Geoff Allen an advanced programmable thermostat with a 7" LCD screen. Window treatment specialist Ian Gibbs installs solar shades on the first floor, which will give some privacy and UV protection, while still allowing in light and views. Upstairs, closet designer Erin Hardy shows Kevin how she divided up the shared master closet to accommodate both "his and hers" spaces. D

Ask This Old House  "Transplanting Trees; Hooking up Plumbing to a Washing Machine"  Landscape contractor Roger Cook and arborist Matt Foti kick off the 10th season of ASK THIS OLD HOUSE by helping a homeowner transplant two trees. Then Roger, along with host Kevin O'Connor, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey, and general contractor Tom Silva ask "what is it?" Afterward, Richard helps a homeowner hook up the plumbing to her washing machine. D

Growing a Greener World  "Attracting Backyard Birds and Wildlife: (Mt. Airy, NC)"  As we spend more time at home, we're enjoying the experience of bringing nature home too. We also visit the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center to learn more about native plants and the problem with invasives. D

Outdoor Idaho  "Adventure Racing"  The Funtastics Adventure Racing Team of Coeur d'Alene joins fellow adrenaline-seekers who take part in Adventure Sports Week at Farragut State Park. The two-day competition offers 63 miles of biking, 22 miles of running, 19 miles of kayaking, and a swim across a bay on Lake Pend Oreille.G

Oregon Field Guide  "Kite Festival/Trees and Pollution/Ultralight Hiking"  FIELD GUIDE cameras find kites from two inches wide to the size of a parade balloon at Oregon's largest kite festival in Lincoln City. Emerging research shows that plants and trees planted in some locations can add to air pollution because they emit isoprenes, which combine with man-made pollutants to create ozone.G

Finding Your Roots  "Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick"  The two actors both descend from prominent American families that have been in this country since its inception. Both also have ancestors who are early opponents of slavery. Bacon's Quaker ancestors repudiated slavery in 1780. Sedgwick's ancestor Theodore Sedgwick argues the case of Elizabeth Freeman in 1781, which helps bring about an end to slavery in Massachusetts. Part 4 of 10G

Masterpiece Classic  "Great Expectations, Part 2"  Pip starts a new life as a gentleman in London, acquiring expensive tastes and mounting debts. Falling more deeply in love with Estella, he escorts her around town. With the approach of his 21st birthday, Pip waits for his benefactor to be revealed. Shocked by the revelation, he races to confront Miss Havisham at Satis House with fatal results. Meanwhile, with Estella lost to him, Pip attempts to confront the realities around him. Part 2 of 2G

New Tricks  "Tiger, Tiger"  When Harefield Zoo refurbishes the former lodgings of its zookeeper believed to have been mauled to death by a tiger a few years before, there is evidence that suggests he was killed before being found in the enclosure. The UCOS team reopens the case and learns there was another side to the quiet zookeeper.G
