12:00 pm
Independent Lens  "March Point"  This program follows the journey of three teens from the Swinomish Tribe who have been asked to make a film about the threat their people face from two local oil refineries. In the late 1950s, two refineries were built on March Point, an area that was once part of the Swinomish reservation by treaty. This is the story of the boys' awakening to the destruction these refineries have wrought in their communities. D
1:00 pm
Independent Lens  "Deaf Jam"  Teenager Aneta Brodski, who is a deaf Israeli immigrant in New York City, discovers American Sign Language and dives into ASL poetry. In this three-dimensional art form, body movements convey meaning and meter, and rhymes are measured in hand shapes. When Brodski meets Tahani Salah, a hearing Palestinian slam poet, they collaborate on poetry performance.G
2:00 pm
Frontline  "Syria Undercover"  As the death toll in Syria nears 3,000, the revolution rages on well after the fall of dictators in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. While grainy cell phone videos of violent attacks on protesters are making it out, foreign journalists are seldom making it in. FRONTLINE offers a rare look from inside, as we travel with undercover reporter Ramita Navai into some of the most dangerous parts of Syria to meet members of the opposition movement forced into hiding.G
