    • Outdoor Idaho “Iconic Idaho” Photo Contest is open to residents of all 50 United States who are at least 18 years old.

  2. Agreement to Official Rules
    • Participation in the contest constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of Idaho Public Television.
    • Commercial usage: Outdoor Idaho may post uploaded images on Idaho Public Television social platforms and web pages. No uploaded images will be used for commercial purposes without express permission from the photographer.

  3. Contest Period
    • The contest begins on the 1st day of each month at midnight Mountain time (MT). Both submissions AND voting close on the 28th of the month at 11:59 PM MT.

  4. Entry Method
    • Submissions will only be accepted via WooBox Entry Form. The monthly WooBox link will be found on the Outdoor Idaho Facebook page and the Outdoor Idaho website.
    • The current “Outdoor Idaho Program Photo Contest Group” page will no longer be an acceptable way to enter the contest. Users are welcome to share images there, but they will not be considered for the contest.

  5. Submission Guidelines
    • Only photos of Idaho, taken in Idaho, will be accepted. Non-Idaho photos will be removed.
    • Participants may submit up to 5 photos per month. One photo per entry form.
    • Participants are not allowed to resubmit photos that have previously been entered, regardless of placing in the contest or not.
    • No AI-generated photos or photo manipulation will be accepted. Photo manipulation can be defined as altering the content of a photograph by “adding, rearranging, reversing, distorting, or removing people and/or objects from within the frame.”
    • Any images deemed “unrelated content” will be removed, and the user will be issued a warning. Upon receiving a second warning, the user will be disqualified. Inappropriate content will result in immediate disqualification from all future submissions.

  6. Voting Process
    • Public voting will open on the 1st of each month at midnight MT and will close on the 28th at 11:59 PM MT.
    • Both contest participants and the general public may vote. Each user may vote once per photo, on all of their favorites.
    • Users can reopen the “vote” page an unlimited number of times to check for new entries and to continue voting.

  7. “Emeriti Showcase”
    • After 10 wins, participants will gain “emeritus status” and will no longer be eligible to win the monthly contest. Instead, their photos will automatically be featured in the “Emeriti Showcase” album on all Outdoor Idaho social media platforms.
    • No voting will occur: all emeriti photos will be automatically accepted. Limit of three photos per participant each month.
    • Showcase members are still encouraged to vote in the regular monthly contest.
    • *** Please note: Beginning in September 2023, we are considering ALL participants as having a “clean slate” for the purpose of judging. Past winners and newcomers alike will have zero wins on their records.

  8. Winner Notification
    • Winners will be notified by email.
    • Four monthly winners plus one “Outstanding Newcomer” will be chosen by popular vote each month for a total of five winners.
      • The four monthly winners’ spots will be awarded to the four photos with the highest number of votes.
      • The “Outstanding Newcomer” will be awarded to the photo with the highest number of votes submitted by a contestant who has never previously placed in the photo contest.
      • “Emeriti Showcase” participants are not eligible for any awards.
    • Similar to the previous contest, each month Outdoor Idaho will create a Facebook album featuring the top 70 most “liked” photos, plus the 5 winners.
